Overview
ACE Excess Casualty products can provide worldwide lead umbrella and excess liability insurance for U.S.-based multinational companies. Our coverage can be tailored to include Foreign Indemnification, Catastrophe Management and SiteSure® (U.S. locations) to provide broader solutions for a global business. Our products are backed by substantial, financially secure capacity and are designed to address global catastrophic exposures, including corporate reputational, security and compliance risks, as well as emerging liability exposures.
Umbrella and Excess Liability Insurance provides worldwide lead umbrella coverage and local admitted policies with consistent coverage:
- Risk-specific approach to Terrorism coverage
- Foreign Entity Indemnification
- Minimum attachment points (all attachments are evaluated individually): General liability: $1 million per occurrence/$2 million general aggregate/ $2 million products aggregate; Auto liability: $1 million CSL/$5 million trucking risks; Employers liability: $1 million
- Up to $50 million per occurrence/aggregate limits ($25 million for energy/construction)
- Higher limits for local policies can be arranged.
Catastrophe Management Coverage provides worldwide advance funding directly to third-parties for managing threats to an organization's reputation and other expenses directly related to a catastrophic event likely to involve excess liability coverage:
- Catastrophic events can include: man-made disasters such as explosions, major crashes or contamination stemming from food, drink or other consumer products.
- Covered costs can include: expenses to secure the scene and provide public relations support.
- Twenty-four hour toll-free number to notify ACE of event and trigger coverage.
- Annual limits: $250,000
Global SiteSure® provides multinationals with the unique combination of reliable capacity and "sleep insurance" for global premises pollution by attaching a claims made pollution coverage extension:
- Remediation costs for gradual and sudden accidental pollution releases
- Third party coverage for bodily injury, property damage and natural resource damages for pollution releases
- Limits available up to $25 million per claim/aggregate
- Minimum self-insured retention: $1 million
ACE Excess Casualty products for multinationals target companies with revenues of $1 billion or more, including but not limited to:
- All standard classes including: manufacturing risks, hospitality, wholesalers and distributors, real estate portfolios, financial institutions, service industries
- Construction classes, including: commercial, industrial and infrastructure contractors, OCIPs/CCIPs, joint ventures, specific projects
- Energy classes, including: mining, chemicals, oil and gas production and exploration, refining, power generation and utilities
- ACE Excess Casualty products can provide multinational clients with up to $50 million capacity for multinational accounts ($25 million for energy and construction programs), backed by the financial strength of the ACE Group of Companies which maintains among the highest ratings from the industry’s principal rating agencies.
- ACE Excess Casualty multinational clients have access to Catastrophe Management Services provide by ESIS, Inc., ACE’s risk management services company. ACE provides solutions to assist in managing during these critical times, including an initital review of potential areas of concern by Catastrophe Management Services and up to $250,000 for eligible expenses during a catastrophic crisis.
